Purifying detox ritual

After the excesses of Christmas, the time for good resolutions has arrived... There is no year that begins that does not have a good list of wishes to fulfill and among them always (or almost always) is to lead a life a little longer healthy.

Either because during the holidays we have gained a few extra pounds or because we have been abusing alcoholic beverages and sweets, the beginning of the year is a good time to start with a detox and cleansing ritual, and whether it is the beginning or the achieving healthier eating habits.

For this reason, today we bring you two cleansing recipes that our nutritionist Elisa González has left us. Take note and start the year purifying your body!

GREEN DETOX JUICE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 celery stalk, raw [105 g)
  • 1/2 medium unit of cucumber, raw (100 g)
  • 1/2 piece of green apple (93 g)
  • 1 garnish of spinach, raw (50 g) or 30 grams of parsley, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seed (2 g) or 1 tablespoon of ginger (5 g)
  • 1 piece of lemon (68 g)

Blend everything, beat and strain.

GREEN SALAD RICH IN IRON

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon of virgin olive oil (9 g)
  • 1 medium unit of cucumber, raw (200 g)
  • 1 medium unit of ripe tomato, raw (140 g)
  • 1 cup (60 grams] spinach, raw
  • 1/3 cup (47 grams) kale, raw
  • 1 leaf (40 grams] romaine lettuce, raw
  • 1/2 piece (93 grams) of green apple
  • 1 single serving of lentil, canned [215 g)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, fresh (3 g)

Wash and disinfect vegetables. Slice the cucumber and tomato and chop the green leafy vegetables to taste.

Season and serve in a salad bowl. (Lemon can be added instead of extra virgin olive oil). Add the lentils with a little chopped parsley.

Optional: Add 1/2 piece of green apple in pieces.
