10 reasons to train during quarantine
The confinement to which we have been subjected for several weeks can be very harmful to our health, since physical inactivity is an important risk factor for many ailments and diseases. That is why we have prepared a list of 10 reasons to train during quarantine, so that you do not put aside your exercise routines and encourage yourself to practice sports at home.
Compensate for our usual daily activity: Now that we cannot leave our home, it is important to maintain the physical movement that we carried out in our daily lives before the quarantine. Even the most sedentary people walk to work or the car, run errands, or take a walk. Exercising at home guarantees us that we are compensating for the lack of these activities and that, at least, we will not be losing the physical shape we had before the health emergency.
Strengthen your immune system: Training strengthens our defenses, something fundamental in times of the coronavirus. If you exercise frequently, you will be healthier at a muscular and cardiovascular level, but you will also be helping your body to face future diseases.
Keeps joints in shape: If the longest distance we travel these days is the corridor from the living room to the kitchen and from the kitchen to the bedroom, our muscles will suffer and we will be risking losing bone mass. Training during quarantine without leaving home is key to avoiding joint problems.
Maintains our aerobic capacity: Several weeks of confinement without exercising will make our muscles and heart work less intensely, so we will be more tired when we can finally return to our daily lives. Don't let that happen!
Improves our mood: Exercising relieves daily stress, will help you look better and healthier, as it improves blood circulation and will brighten your skin. Imagine how good you are going to feel after several training sessions at home!
